A
deep analysis of existing processes, gaps and issues was conducted after which
time-phased curative measures were drafted. The project also required change
management.
The
first step -> Analysis of the organization culture, its documentation,
analysis of management methods in light of the culture, staff and task
requirements.
Outcome:- Suggested approach to
situations
The
second step-> Process re-engineering of organization human resource
hiring process to curtail ramp-up time and other hiring and HR issues
identified in step1.
Outcome:- Revised HR hiring process
designed and implemented
The
third step -> Analysis and documentation of the existing resource
management practice, to evaluate it in light of corporate requirements and
organization objectives.
Outcome:- Aligned resource allocation to corporate
requirements and organization objectives.
Client Organization:
Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO)
SPO is a
national non-governmental organization working in the area of community
development. A program audit was conducted for SPO that entailed a desk audit
as well as field audit of all four programs called ‘Outcomes’ . The
audit identified gaps and suggested measures that would improve the
organization’s performance and help them achieve their goals.
A
workshop was also conducted to draft a ‘Beyond 2008’ vision that will plan out
the organization’s objectives for the next 5 years and how it will achieve
them.

Management Institute –
Islamabad
Pakistan Chapter.
The
PMP-Prep course was developed for PMI Islamabad Chapter and courses conducted.
The participants of the courses were from various corporate, social and public
sector organizations such as: PSEB, HEC, Ufone, Mobilink, Teradata, Techaccess
and Teradata.

As an
invited speaker, sessions within the PMP-Prep courses have been conducted for
SysComp.

Diploma
Course in Project Management was designed and delivered for CASE.

National Commission for Human Resource Development (NCHRD) –
Islamabad
Workshops
were conducted at NCHRD where the clients were from social sector. Some of the
topics covered were: ‘women empowerment’, ‘report writing skills’, and ‘communication management’.

As
Honorary Consultant till 2009, I assist the organization in representing their
view point as well as conduct workshops on topics such as ‘Ethics in Medical
Profession’ and ‘Gender Issues with Health Workers’.
IT Projects
Client Organization: Cyber Wing - Ministry of
Information and Broadcasting.
The Ministry started
a project to setup a Cyber Wing within the ministry that would focus on
information dissemination using the internet. The task required executing the
project as per PC-I developed and to improve the planning document with the
gaps identified.
Client Organization: Avais Hyder Noman Rizwani (AHNR)
The Computerization of Tax and Non-Tax receipts
project required documentation of Tax and Non-tax receipts processes in Tehsil
Municipal Administration (TMA) Khanewal –
Punjab. It was
a PPO administered and ADB funded project which will be replicated to the 120
tehsils of
Punjab. The project required the documented
processes to be further re-engineered for efficiency and computerization,
development of new processes where there was a need and design and develop the
application for its automation/computerization.
Client Organization: Department of Justice –
USA
The Department of Justice required an Independent Government
Cost Estimate for the Automated Fingerprinting Information Systems (AFIS)
project funded by
USA.
The Project Cost estimation project required analysis
of the RFP and technical bids received to arrive at an estimate with a top-down
and bottom-up estimate. The project was completed in partnership with SysComp
International Pvt Ltd.
Client Organization: Health Department,
Peshawar
The Health Department Training Database
project was one of the initial projects conducted where the role was limited to
receiving project needs assessed by an independent consultant and to translate
that into a computer application. The Human Resource Development Package for
the Health Department of NWFP was developed with funding from UNICEF. The
software was designed to keep record of the basic health units of NWFP and
their staffing requirements. Further the staff qualifications were matched with
their trainings received against their job requirements. It also kept a record
of the training received and required for each staff member of the health
department. Its aim was to improve the working condition at the Health
Department and hence enhance the quality of health services provided to the
citizen of the area.

Computer
Center,
Peshawar
The project required assistance to a local NGO in
establishment of an IT Training Center for ladies at
Peshawar.
This included setting up a curriculum, hiring and then training a computer
instructor.

Client Organization: Khwendo Kor ,
Peshawar
The project required a Proposal developed on
behalf of the NGO in micro financing for income generation for women of urban
underdeveloped areas. The proposal was used by the NGO to generate funds from
various donor agencies.

Chapter
As a charter member of PMI Islamabad Chapter, BE provides all
type of support to PMI Islamabad Chapter in awareness raising , management of
the chapter, event organization etc. The Principal consultant of BE is
presently the Vice-President of PMI-Islamabad Chapter.

Toastmasters Club
As a charter member and a pioneer in bring in Toastmasters to
Islamabad,
BE provides all type of support to ITC in event management, functioning of the
club, etc. Principal Consultant of BE is presently the President of ITC.
